Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream reviews

  • Amazing! Hands down favorite hair product of all time.

I have naturally wavy hair, and I live in South Florida. Needless to say the humidity creates frizz. This is my go-to product to smooth and control my hair and help maintain my curls. I emulsify a few squirts in my hands and combine it with Tigi bed head Curls Rock styling cream. I apply it onto towel dried hair and finish it with one squirt of Lanza oil and I let it air dry. Voila. Shiny and smooth wonderful smelling hair. You can also blown dry but I’d recommend a diffuser so you don’t disturb the curls (if your hair is curly that is). Also, I use it to refresh my hair when the humidity has taken its toll or I’m having a bad hair day. People compliment me on the smell and I tell them it’s the Moroccan oil styling cream! Very subtle, unique and fresh smelling. — S. K. reviewed

  • THE BEST

I am middle-aged, with naturally curly hair. I’ve been using this product for at least 15 years. I’ve tried other products, but honestly, nothing conditions my hair or brings out the curls as well as Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream. I’d rather use this, which is for all hair types, than the product Moroccanoil makes for curly hair. My only complaint is I was buying this in a larger bottle on Amazon, and now they don’t sell the larger bottle. It’s okay. I’ll continue to purchase — S. K. reviewed

  • Happy mistake

I meant to again order the Hydrating Styling Cream and ordered this by mistake. I gave it a try anyway and I think it works better on my wavy, processed, dry shoulder length hair better than any of the millions of products I’ve tried over the years. My hair isn’t curly, just a little wave. I use a dab of this on after washing and letting it air dry a bit, right before I dry it. It is amazing how straight and healthy my hair appears. I don’t even have to use my straightener. Nothing compares, not even the Moroccan Oil Treatment along with Hydrating Styling Cream or Brazilian Blowout Thermal Straightening Balm. And it has a very mild, pleasant smell. Makes my hands soft, too. — Susan G. Heneghan reviewed

  • The scent is amazing!

I had written a review previously that the product arrived damaged and was returning it (for free) and was going to update but I cannot find it.
In a handful of days, it was replaced. I think that says a lot about this company.
Now the product smells absolutely amazing! My husband has been using it for years on his thick curly, European hair. It’s a unisex scent, clean and fresh. But to me it smells like him & is so sexy. I have very pin straight, silky European hair so I don’t necessarily need this product but it’s still great for flyaways. I absolutely recommend this product to everyone. — Pepper Michaels reviewed

  • The Real Thing

I bought this three years ago and am writing this review now to say it is the real thing because I recently purchased this one http://www.amazon.com/Moroccanoil-Hydrating-Styling-Cream-16-9-Ounce/dp/B001AMMSMK/ref=sr_1_2?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1438454258&sr=1-2&keywords=moroccanoil+styling+cream that turned out to be counterfeit. This one here, though, is legitimate, and I’m in love with it. I have fine, wavy, below shoulder length hair that I blow dry straight. One pump of this fabulous product and my hair is left soft, smooth, conditioned, and full of body, with a glorious scent. I have hair that curls and frizzes at the slightest humidity, and this cream helps resist that annoying tendency. Use sparingly — more than a pump or two will give you a greasy result. Work from the ends up – you don’t need to saturate your roots. A truly wonderful hair product! — Buffy Divine reviewed

  • Worth every penny! My miracle product.

I have been using Moroccanoil Hydrating styling cream for about 9 years now. To be honest, I can’t live without this product. I’m 28, a male, and am starting to worry about a receding hairline since it runs in my family. No sight of it yet, and I believe it’s because I use this product daily. It’s so moisturizing, and doesn’t leave your hair or scalp oily, which is a rarity in the field of leave-in conditioners/styling products. This is probably due to its main ingredient of Argan oil, which is lightweight, but super beneficial to hair. It adds so much moisture and volume when I style my hair with heat, protects it while doing so, and gives a beautiful natural finish. Additionally, it can be left on the hair (applied to damp or dry hair) without using a hair dryer. Such a wonderful formulation! Also, it does not irritate my skin, which is an amazing quality because I have very sensitive skin. So if it transfers onto the skin or face while sleeping (I don’t think it has for me), you really don’t have to worry about it causing irritation. — Jules reviewed

  • AH-MAY-ZING!!!

I have thin/wavy hair, pretty oily and it frizzes (yeah, the evil trifecta!) and I have always struggled with finding a product that doesn’t make any one of those traits worse. I have used everything from regular store brands (Organix, Frizz-Ease, etc.) to the pricey salon stuff (Bumble & Bumble and It’s a 10), all serum or light oil mist based. Every time I blow-dryed my hair, it would come out nice and straight and smooth, but within a couple of hours…not so much. It’s almost as if my hair was getting frizzier by using the before mentioned products and I started noticing that I had some new growth I had at the crown of my head would stand up on end after blow-drying. No amount of product or flat ironing would keep those little buggers down. I became addicted to hair spray because of this, and even then it would keep them tame for only an hour or so. And it doesn’t help that I live in the most humid environment, South Florida!

I had long hair for the past 18yrs (since my senior year of high school…you’re doing the math right now to see how old I am, right? haha), to about the middle of my back and recently cut off almost 10", to come up right around my collarbone. I wanted a change and basically needed to let my hair recover from the years of blow-drying and flat ironing. Oh, and I recently started coloring my hair again (dang gray hairs!). I was complaining to a coworker (who has gorgeous waist-length hair) about my hair one day and she proceeds to pull out from her purse the bottle of the hydrating creme and tells me to hold out my hand. I said, "no thanks, that’s a creme – if serums/oils make my hair gross, then a creme would definitely not be any better." She then looks me in the eye and says, "trust me". She had this serious look on her face, enough to make me slightly scared to say no, so I held out my hand. She squirts out some of the creme in my hand, about the size of a chick pea, and tells me to rub my hands together and demonstrates how to put it in my hair. My hair instantly became softer, smoother and best of all it did not make it greasy! IT WAS A REVELATION!!! Within seconds, I went onto Amazon and found it. I asked her how long the 10.2oz bottle lasts her. I thought she would say maybe a few months, as she has really long hair…she said ALMOST A YEAR!!! The excitement that came over me was euphoric! I know, it sounds crazy because it’s just hair roduct, but after struggling for years, wasting hundreds of dollars, to find that one thing that makes you feel so much better about your physical appearance, you get a little giddy and want to tell the world about it.

I will NEVER use anything else! Yes, it’s a little pricey, but the quality is worth every single penny. Plus, that bottle will last you a very long time! Some people have said the smell is a little "old-ladyish", but I personally love it. It’s not overwhelming at all…in fact, I’m smelling my hair right now and can barely tell. 🙂

MorrocanOil Hydrating Styling Creme…I love you!!!!! — HMS reviewed

  • Keeps my limp, fine hair curly!

I bought this because my salon stylist used it on my hair along with the mousse that comes with this line as well. My hair doesn’t take to curling very well, but it stayed for three days! The picture shown is the day after I slept in it! — RJR reviewed

  • Best Hydrating and Frizz Control I have ever used

Living half-time in Florida is hell on my frizz-prone hair. Needing to use a flat iron more than I wish, my ends tend to dry out over time. My daughter suggested this product and I will never use anything else. It not only does an excellent job with shine, and hydrating the ends especially, but it’s automatic frizz control too. It’s worth the price. — Tiffany reviewed

  • Smells great.

Love Moroccanoil for my dry hair. I use it on my just shampooed hair – makes blow drying easy less frizz. Also use a dab of it on dry hair to tame the frizzies on high humidity days. Recommend by my hair stylist. Now on my 3 rd bottle. — River reviewed

  • A styling cream that also conditions!

I bought this product because my hair stylist used it (along with the shampoo, conditioner, and oil) and I loved the scent and feel of my hair. Of course, hair done by the stylist does not always look the same a few days later. I wanted a conditioning product that I could leave in, and wasn’t sure if this product was more for styling or for conditioning. One of the other reviewers said she uses it for both, so I ordered the product. I am very, very impressed! Not only does it feel conditioned, it also feels thicker and fuller with a very smooth volume. It curls well with tools such as an iron or rollers, isn’t limp, just wonderfully soft and full. And I only used a very small amount, so I’d say this product will last me a very long time! BTW, I used it both on dry hair and on damp hair – it works either way, but slightly better with damp hair. And it smells good! — Lily Jones reviewed

  • Love this stuff.

Bought this after my stylist used it on my hair. Smells wonderful! Protect from the heat of my straightening iron and blow dryer. I blow dry and straighten my hair 5 days a week! Not a heavy product or sticky. I put it on my hair when wet and I cannot even tell its in there. Worth every penny! — Lily Jones reviewed

  • works great, little to no scent

works great, little to no scent. hair hold is med. holds my wavy/curly hair, but not like crusty hard shell. lol. hair feels soooo soft. — R. Zuiderveen reviewed

  • Moroccanoil Hydrating

I color my hair professional and my stylist uses this on my hair. I told him I needed a good product to use on my hair to keep it hydrated and he didn’t have it at the time to for me to buy so I went online looking and found it here and bought it. I Highly recommend this product to any one that has their hair colored!!! I plan on buying it again! — Daniel Herring reviewed

  • Works great, isn’t greasy

I first heard of the product from my hairdresser and I immediately ordered it. I was hesitant at first to use it because I have very fine hair and most products make me look greasy. I have not had that problem with the hydrating styling cream. I have medium length hair and just use 1 pump every morning before blow drying my hair. I feel like it has really protected my hair from the heat of the blow dryer, straightener, and curling iron. I can definitely tell the difference in my hair with and without the cream. I feel like my hair is more rebellious without the cream and with it helps to tame it a bit better. I always recommend the MoroccanOil products to everyone I meet. — JoJo reviewed

  • Naturally wavy

Love this product! Smells awesome! Just apply one small pump into towel dried hair and it leaves your hair light and naturally wavy. Does not weigh your hair down or leave it looking greasy. Nice product. Love their hair mask also! — AManning reviewed

  • Works good for me

This is the first time i have used this Styling Cream i have used other of the Moroccanoil products with great results. This worked great i used about a dime size and rubbed through wet Hair and the results were great ,my Hair was not Frizzy or Dry looking and it added shine and the scent is the best i also like that it didn’t leave my Hair looking Flat or Oily.I like to switch around different Hair Products now and than.Great size for trying out. — Charlotte Jackson reviewed

  • This is a product I cannot live without!

It is hard to find a product for fine naturally curly hair but this one does wonders! Are use this product when wearing my hair curly or before blow drying it straight just make sure to experiment with the amount of product you use. It’s very light weight moisturizing and helps smooth and make your hair shiny. Although I am not very fond of the scent this is a product I cannot live without! — K reviewed

  • Watered down waste of money

At some point over the years this must have had formula change because it’s now watery, doesn’t moisturize at all & doesn’t help at all with frizz when used by itself. When I first started using it years ago, it was much thicker consistency, helped frizz & made my hair soft. Waste of money now. Moroccanoil smoothing lotion & curl cream are.much better. — Happycmb reviewed

  • Smells great!!

This is my first time using this product. It’s not sticky and doesn’t leave my hair looking wet so it must absorb well but one of my favorite things is the smell is amazing. The smell is not too powerful and doesn’t linger though. — Lee Mae reviewed

  • Worth the money. Keeps hair in good condition.

Although it’s on the expensive side. I think it really helps my hair from damage and drying out from blow drying. Had bottle last almost up 3 months. Really like this product line. — Lee Mae reviewed

  • LOVE IT!

I don’t use this product for its intention. I actually use it to help me untangle my hair. It does a great job and it keeps my hair looking healthy even if I don’t style it that day. But i LOVE it and will continue to purchase it in the future! — T reviewed

  • Great product

Smells wonderful, ships fast. Helps moisturize and smooth hair frizzes. Helps condition hair. Not a serum or heat protectant however, so just be mindful when using heat products. — Saray reviewed

  • Great for Hispanic and mixed hair

My hairdresser used this when they first stared carrying it in the salon and I thought, “oh great, another expensive product that’s not really gonna work great.” Oh was I wrong. My hair was soft and frizz free for days. I quickly came to Amazon and found it much cheaper than at the salon and ordered it. I found when I used it, I could easily recreate the same style from the salon.

My sister-in-law tried in when she spent the night and could not believe the difference. Her normal frizz ball hair was tamed and soft. A week later she called me and asked me to order a bottle for her.

You have to be careful not to put it on too close to the roots. Use it from the ears down is best and this way your hair won’t turn out greasy.

You just need a little, a pump or two per use for below shoulder length. — cp reviewed

  • Great hair product

Prior to using MoroccanOil Hydrating Styling Cream, my hair used to frustrate me. I have fine hair prone to breakage and frizzing, and I was tired of always having hair that went frizzy part way through the day. Not anymore. The MoroccanOil has finally tamed it so that my hair looks beautifully styled all day long. It is a lot less dry now too. All I need to do is massage a pea sized amount into my hair while wet, style as usual, and it looks great. I definitely recommend this product. It actually works, unlike many unsuccessful products I have used previously. It may seem expensive, but one bottle of this stuff lasts a really long time. — Lily Fuentes reviewed

  • This stuff rocks

I have curly hair – I think type 3b or 3c – or in-between. This stuff is really good for styling and it smells great. I just think it makes me hair feel softer overall, too. — CES12 reviewed

  • Excellent Value

Have used this product daily for two years and have been very pleased. My hair is very curly and this cuts the frizz down quite a bit. Since only a dab is used, lasts forever. Great value! — Jennifer reviewed
