Elta MD Skincare AM Therapy Facial Moisturizer

Haven’t used for long, but I’m loving it.

My dermatologist recommended this moisturizer to use in conjunction with a new prescription cream. It doesn’t have any parabens, colors, or fragrance which was a requirement for me as my skin is very sensitive. It has no acne causing ingredients on cosdna.com which was a requirement for her. It’s a very thick gel cream type formula. It can stay a bit tacky on the skin so say a pillow case may stick. I would recommend giving it plenty of time to soak in before bed. I do think in the short time I’ve used it my skin defintely looks more plump and hydrated. I have a very hard time finding moisturizers for my acne prone skin that don’t seem to cause a breakout the more I use. I’m so pleased! Great for acne prone skin and awesome packaging from seller

I have been using Elta MD Sunscreen for about 6 years. Ever since I was told that sun could make my acne scaring worse, I have been using Elta MD products. This was back when I had horrible cystic all over face acne. About 2 years ago when I got pregnant with my son my acne came back something fierce. I started using curology and using this in the morning to off set moisture. I can not say how much I love the texture of this moisturizer. It’s my favorite skin care must have. And the small size goes a long way. I’ll add a little coconut oil if I need more moisture but this stuff works great.

Great for sensitive skin and PM use as well

Purchased this to replace a Sanitas oil free moisturizer that was intended for sensitive skin, but still gave me lots of itching and irritation around my eyes. This product is great for sensitive skin and I have not experienced any irritation as a result of using it for over a month now. Unlike a lot of other facial lotions there are no drying alcohols in this product. Although it is marketed for AM use you can use it at night as well with good results! It is not heavy on your face, but once you massage it in after cleansing your skin can feel quite smooth and soft. If you live in a colder climate you may want to fortify this with some facial oil during the drier winter months as it is a light product. — Shayla reviewed

An EltaMD product happy customer

After using some very expensive department store products, and not seeing any visible improvement in my skin, I asked my dermatologist what products she uses. She uses this product line which is available at her office, very convenient, however after a search "on line," I was able to replenish my supply at a lower cost. I have to be very careful outdoors, I must use sunscreen as my skin will burn very easily. I’m also using the PM therapy, sunscreen, and eye creme while the wrinkles are not disappearing, they’re not getting any worse and the moisturizer minimizes the appearance of wrinkles. — Nancy reviewed

Same consistency as from my dermatologist’s office

I got this bottle of Elta Beauty moisturizer on Amazon and compared it to the bottle I bought at my derm’s office. They have the same consistency and the same scent (not much at all), so the Amazon bottle seems to be the real thing. And it was $3 less than I pay at my dermatologist’s. I would rather buy local but the derm office is only open at the same time I’m at work and it’s hard to get there before they close. Terrific Light Moisturizer

I began using this at the recommendation of my dermatologist. I mostly use Obagi products, and because I have dry skin and hormonal acne outbreaks my dermatologist prescribed a retinol serum at night and recommended that I use this moisturizer with it. I’ve done so for more than a year now and I love how my skin looks and feels. I don’t know that it has improved my skin tone, but it has helped with dry skin. — A. Graham reviewed

I am 66 and I have been very ill. My skin has gone form very oily to so dry in over a year. I have not been able to get to my dermatologist. I have tried so many things on my face. This moisturizer with the elta sunscreen for rosacea and acne prone skin and sensitive skin together night and day has made a huge difference in my skin. Finally fixed my acne

I’ve tried literally everything to control my acne/dryness/blackheads. It’s been an issue for over 20 years. This, despite the high price tag, seems to have definitively ended my problems. I only wish I was joking, as I would have bought this many years ago had I known.

This moisturizes thoroughly, opens pores, goes on light, and makes my skin look and feel great.

Best stuff I’ve found yet

This stuff has been the only thing that has helped my dry skin and patchy places on my face. It’s light weigh, not greasy and doesn’t smell like anything. Good for any skin type, solid ingredients, trusted brand

I have literally told EVERYONE I know about this moisturizer. It’s the best I’ve found because it’s the perfect consistency, isn’t sticky, and will not cause pimples. I’m fare-skinned so opt for this moisturizer followed by a non-tinted sunscreen by Tizo — THE perfect combo, let me tell you. I tend to get hives and pimples from pretty much everything else so this moisturizer is a god send. I use AM both in the morning and night, although I’m interested to try their PM formula. Best moisturizer for acne skin

So…I am kind of a skin junkie. I have suffered from terrible acne for about 10 years, and I have tried dozens of skin products, and researched countless more… I am finally clear! Many products out there cause me to breakout, especially emollient moisturizers…but not this one! I researched all of the ingredients before purchasing and they all seemed safe. However, the proof is certainly in the pudding with this product. I have been using it for a long time (morning and night even though it’s called “am”) and my skin is clean and clear. Now…this product won’t combat acne, but it is perfect to use on top of a real acne fighter (benzoyl peroxide, BHA, sulfur, retin-A, etc etc). I use benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, both products really do a number drying out your skin, but Elta MD am moisturizer really takes care of that without clogging pores. The perfect facial moisturizer

Lightweight. Absorbs quickly. Hydrates. A little goes a very long way. A tiny drop is all that is needed. I use this on days when I do not expect to be outdoors. On outdoor days, I use EltaMD with an SPF factor. I never wear makeup. I don’t know how long EltaMD products have been on the market, but I’m glad I discovered them. I got my hands on ELTA after reading a review in simpleskincarescience, and I must say I’m impressed. It has a combination of superpowerful ingredients (like Niacinamide, in the very same proportion that MIA -aka super overpriced and overrated-has, and super moisturizing agents, not fatty acids -in case someone is sensitive to them -vitamins and antioxidants. Light moisturizer for sensitive skin

This moisturizer has been great for my sensitive skin. It is on the lighter side in terms of heaviness and hydration, so I sometimes add a heavier moisturizer if I need more. However, for humid days or summer this alone will do the trick after cleansing. There is little to no scent, which I love.
