WOW is right!

I’ve purposely waited a few days after beginning to use this product to ensure it wasn’t just “hype”.

Here’s the need-to-know backstory. I have naturally curly hair, as in Goldilocks or Shirley Temple curly hair – ringlets galore. Once I was old enough to “manage” my own hair, I.e. teenager, I began to attempt to blow out my hair straight. It was a mess. Over the years I tried reverse perms, chemicals, etc to tame the curls and the frizz. Now, as an adult, I have chemically-treated hair (both color AND highlights), and have attained the skills to properly blow out my hair, but haven’t found anything to tame the frizz. Until now.

I live in the South. Here, Alabama football reigns supreme and the only thing higher than an Alabama football score is the humidity. It is relentless and unforgiving. I can have a beautiful blowout, walk outside, and see all of my work frizz out within a matter of minutes.

I used this product on a day I washed my hair, as well as a high humidity day and it worked beautifully. The next day, I didn’t wash, used dry shampoo, and was very pleased with the continued frizz control. On the 3rd day, a hair washing day with rain and 100% humidity, I still used some of the WOW and was stunned at how tame my hair has remained.

So far, so good!

I have long fine very wavy hair that I straighten. I live in a humid climate and so of course I am always fighting a losing battle with the frizz and sweaty neck when it’s hot.

I have tried this twice now. The first time I am sure I did not use anywhere near enough, and it was not the miracle elixir I was hoping for. But I noticed I did not have to WASH MY HAIR for days (maybe 5?!) It just didn’t get greasy, even on my neck. It wasn’t perfectly smooth, but even when I slept with my long hair loose, it didn’t get that POUF look that normally happens in humid weather. I did hit it with the flat iron the third day but that’s all.

I watched a video on how to use this before my second try. I sectioned my hair and used a lot more product, but I did NOT flat iron after drying, I didn’t need to. I am on day two so far. It’s hot here, but again the back of my neck is not getting greasy (I sprayed a lot on the underside of my hair back there this time.) My hair is smooth and NOT frizzy, all I did this morning was brush it.

Blow-drying was fast and easy. The hardest part was spraying the stuff in the right direction: it goes on in a fine mist of what seems like water, and I sprayed my face, my mirror, my ears…I think it would be better if someone else helped apply this – it’s hard to spray without looking. I’m used to cremes that I apply with my hands. Practice will help I’m sure.

The only thing I notice is that it almost makes my breakage (thyroid issues) look a bit more pronounced as my hair is so much smoother, so the little pieces blow in the breeze instead of mixing in with my frizzy curls. I am going to hit it with a tiny dab of Color Wow Creme and see what happens (love that stuff too!)

Love it!

I have thick hair that tends to frizz. My stylist introduced me to WOW and the key is applying product generously all over hair, using no other products and then reapplying after two to three hair washings each time. I have spent thousands of dollars over years trying to find a way to wear my hair down in warm/humid weather. I saw a recommendation in Oprahs magazine "O" for this product asnd what it does to keep frizz away. It acually blocks the moisture that creates frizz, so it acts as a barrier. LOVE!!!

I didn’t like this at 1st and then I learned I wasnt really following the directions. So I shampoo, condition, towel dry. Spray this stuff literally all over especially where you find the most frizz, mines in the back as the humidity turns my straight hair into a wavy mess in the back. I put some heat protecting spray on and then I get a round brush and dry by sections. The end result is shiny full of life hair. The picture you see is on day 2…no frizz, no crazy wavyness happening in the back. It’s so soft and feels so healthy. And it’s TRUE it does last a few shampoos. A Miracle! Hair Feels Like Silk!!

All I can say is WOW!! This stuff is amazing!! I don’t write many reviews but I had to for this. I have thick wavy hair. After using this it feels like silk! I don’t even have to flat iron my hair! I don’t understand the negative reviews. They must not have used enough. It does feel like water when you spray it on which is awesome because it doesn’t feel like you have greasy product in your hair. I saturated my towel dried hair like it says on the instructions. You have to spray it underneath as well. I just used it for the first time last night so I am curious to see if it really lasts through 3 shampoos. I hope so. Genius Product!!

I had been hearing a lot from my friends about this new “miracle” product called ColorWow Dream Coat. I purchased Dream Coat through Amazon based on the great reviews and convenience. I have naturally curly, color treated hair and usually blow it straight. I shampooed and conditioned, towel dried, saturated my hair as per the Dream Coat directions and blow dried it straight with a round brush. Blow drying was easy and quicker than usual. It was SUPER smooth and the shine was incredible yet felt like there was nothing in my hair. Since I’ve been using it, my hair always looks AMAZING!! What’s with these poor reviews?!

This product is amazing. My keratin days are over! I’m wholly convinced that people reviewing this poorly are not using it correctly. Maybe they’re using too much? Not enough heat? (I recommend following up the blow dryer with a flatiron). Using it every shampoo instead every third or fourth? Remember: it’s meant to be a smoothing treatment, not a styling product. In between treatments you should do your usual routine with your usual styling products.

My one complaint: the mirrored bottle. I can never find it! Sitting on a shelf among other products it becomes virtually invisible. Cool concept, totally impractical. — J. Nelson reviewed

WOW is the perfect adjective!

I don’t have really frizzy hair, but, lots of fly-a-ways and wavy hair. I wanted something to keep it smooth and shiny between shampoos. I gave my damp hair a really good spray, then combed through. I used the dryer (whole head) and a flat iron (just for the front) and I was immensely impressed. My hair came out very smooth and very shiny and, it stays exactly like this till I wash it again. Blowdrying Without Humidty Interferring! A MUST If You Live In The Deep South!

“WOW!” Doesn’t begin to express my enthusiasm over this product. Before moving to New Orleans, I never had any problems with my hair. Strawberry blonde, hung straight as arrow, no frizz. Very healthy, no oily or dandruff issues. What I never anticipated wawas the humidity. It doesn’t matter the season or the weather. There always comes a point when blow drying that it stops drying because perspiration would take over. Everywhere I went, if I showered before, I went out with my hair damp and soggy. This is miraculous! I can blow dry my hair leaving no dampness and now my hair hangs beautifully straight and without messy tangles my not grooming it entirely. A little goes a long way. LIFE CHANGING! If you know how to use…

I am simply AMAZED at how well this product performs. Seriously the BEST product for softness, shine, humidity proofing, and even style hold! But the way to really make this work is to CLOSELY follow the directions.

Allow your hair to air dry for about 30-45 minutes (depending on your hair), or until some strands are starting to feel “dry”. This is KEY!!! The reason is because Dream Coat is an extremely low viscosity, very watery product. If your hair is still wet or even just towel dried, the product will just drip off your hair with the excess water still on your strands. The product needs something to hold onto…it needs to be able to soak in to work! You also need to apply it section by section and saturate your hair until it looks and feels dripping wet. Only then will you know your entire head is coated with it! The product needs to coat every strand for it to really work!

Now onto the results…WOW is right! It does take a minute to fully dry with a blowdryer, but the results are worth the effort. You need to put your heat on blast, and pull your hair taught as you blow dry to “activate” it. Once dry, I highly recommend that you use some sort of heat styling tool, such as a flat iron or curling wand/iron. This will multiply your results tenfold!! At first I wasn’t all that impressed until I curled my hair with my flat iron. Not only were my strands insanely shiny and soft, but the curls held like no other styling product as been able to accomplish! I even flat ironed my hair stick straight and then curled the next day with amazing results. No hair spray required. I still have some flyaways from breakage at the top of my head, but no insane frizz even in the humid summer time! I even thought it lasted through 2-3 washes as well, just like the bottle said! Once you know HOW to use it, this can be life changing!!

PS: It says for best results to use by itself the first time you apply. While I agree, I also used it after putting some hair oil on my ends and near my breakage when it was towel dried, let my hair air dry, and then applied Dream Coat with no issues at all. 🙂 — M. Hart reviewed

Life changing!!

Heard about this product online and decided to give it a try. Had no high expectations, but tried it with an open mind, even though it looks like people either love it or hate it. I must say now that I love it!! If you use correctly you’ll see the results. I spray it all over, blow dry and then use the flat iron. My hair will be straight and shiny for 2 washes. I sprayed this on my hair before I blow dried and curled with my straightener, you have to get it under all the layers and brush it through (10-15 sprays I would gather? and yes it needs heat to activate) but girl, I walked people all over my job site on the rainiest day ever, sat in the bathroom while my boyfriend was blasting the steam from the hot shower for 20 minutes and MY HAIR IS PERFECT. Wow! Shiny, smooth & manageable

Wow is a perfect name for this product. I have thick color treated hair that is mostly straight with annoying waves that are increasing as I get older. I have been considering a keratin treatment but was worried I wouldn’t like the texture, it would make my hair too flat, expensive fumes…etc. A friend of mine mentioned she was going to try this product and I was very interested. I watched a video of someone that used this and I was impressed with the difference and how she explained this doesn’t even feel the same as her hair did before. I took the plunge and bought it. I am writing this review to tell you I love it. It did not make my hair pun straight like I thought it would, however I can now easily get that look with a flat iron and it actually stays. What impressed me the most was how it changed the texture of my hair. I used to have silky smooth hair when I was young, however my gray is coming in very textured and somewhat curly and feeling dry. Since the first use of this product that has all changed. My hair is easy to manage, shiny and sooo soft to the touch (my 9 year old loves to touch it). For some reason my hair also takes less time to dry which is so helpful since I have such thick hair. I just wanted to let you all know how much I loved this product. I ended up buying one for my mother in law (who spent over $400 on keratin treatment) and my mother who also has very thick hair that is unmanageable. It really works well!

My friend recommended this product. She almost didn’t buy it due to the negative reviews.

Below is my comprehensive experience with Dreamcoat after using it multiple times.

I have a complicated relationship with my hair. The natural texture of my hair is moderately wavy, somewhat curly, definitely always frizzy, and occasionally defying the laws of gravity. (Thank you, DNA!) Until I discovered the flat iron, it resembled a frayed cotton swab. Blow drying leads to what can only be described as ‘triangle head’ so I just don’t do it. Dreamcoat is activated by dryer heat so I had to.

For those of you who dry your hair while using a brush to pull it straight, you deserve a gold medal. I have never mastered this skill so, while I was able to do it reasonably well with my bangs to the point where I could have skipped the flat iron on them, I abandoned all hope and simply used my hand to pull my (slightly past shoulder length) hair taut while blow drying. This is very important! It helps the product work.

Also important is to use enough of it. Apply liberally to damp hair. The spray nozzle makes it easy even if you have poor coordination and terrible aim. (Ask me how I know!) It does have the consistency of water and smells neither good nor bad. I dry (read: gently wring out then wrap) my hair with a 100% cotton tee to reduce frizz. (Friction from rubbing my hair with a towel is an absolute horror show!)

I did need to use a flat iron after blow drying because my hair is non-compliant. Your results may vary. My hair felt super soft, looked healthier & fuller. My hair style lasted for 9 days with minimal daily touch ups from the flat iron. This is unheard of even for a mutant like me. I typically wash my hair once a week and rarely use dry shampoo in between.

I experimented with not using a blow dryer to see how it would work. It still works but just not as well.

Then I tried using less product while using the blow dryer just to see what might happen. It does work but even less than drying naturally but still applying liberally.

In any case, my hair always felt soft and more manageable.

I always wear my hair straight but did notice when I had let it dry naturally, my waves looked nicer and less frizzy even without having had any heat applied. I imagine the curly formula of Dreamcoat would be amazing if I ever chose to wear my hair that way.

WOW is Right!!!

I have struggled with my hair my whole life. It is thick and messy curly. I have been to a high dollar hair “designer to the stars” telling him he could do what he wanted with my hair , because I sure as heck didn’t know and I trusted him to give me a style that worked for me. What did he do, you ask? He cut my long, long hair up to my ears. Even he didn’t want to mess with it. So for the last 15-20 years my hair has been shaved on the sides with a #4 razor and 2 inches on top and blended in. That was until a year and a half ago when I got the brilliant idea to grow it out and attempt to use a straightener and products to tame my wild mane. I have painfully lived with it durning this process, but I live in Florida and no sooner would I straighten my hair (it was never perfectly straight) and it would start to curl again with the wonderful FL humidity. WHAT WAS I THINKING? I would go out looking like Beauty ( not really, but just go with the analogy) and come home looking like the Beast. I was about to throw in the towel as we are heading back in to rainy season and then I learned of WOW. I can not think of a more appropriate name. This stuff is amazing! My hair has never been so straight. It is also shiny and very soft. There is no scent to it. I found it easy to apply following the instructions. I am hoping it lasts a long time. The best hair product you could ever imagine!

This stuff is AH-mazing! I have super naturally curly hair and live in South Carolina, so trying to keep my hair straight and in control is a daily challenge. I read about WOW somewhere and decided to try it, despite being skeptical. I have only used one application thus far but OMG the results are incredible. I used it per instructions and still have not washed my hair 3 days later. I went out in the rain, slept and even CrossFit and still have not washed it and I had people complimenting me and asking me if I had had a blow out. This was 3 days post use no washing in between. From five products to one, and looks better!

When the woman who cuts my hair gives me a blow-out, my extremely thick, color-treated mostly gray hair looks like a sheath of silk. When I blow dry my own hair, it takes five products and three appliances, and it looks nice, but no comparison.
I sprayed the dream coat on sectioned hair until it was damp-ish and combed it through. I used only that product and only my blow dryer (you need to heat activate the product).
At first, it looked kinda frizzy and wasn’t straight, but I kept going over the sections and suddenly my hair was smooth, shiny, straight and gorgeous. There was no need for my flat iron. This is during the pandemic, so my hair should have been trimmed about six weeks ago. Normally, at this point, the layers that have been cut into my bob have begun to split and no matter what, it can’t look smooth.
My.Hair.Looks.So.Smooth!!! It’s the perfect fix for those fuzzy ends. It also makes my hair look much less poofy, which is good for my mountains of hair, but if your hair is already very thin, I’m not sure what would happen.
Two tips-start on almost dry hair and spray enough to re-dampen your hair.
And don’t stop when it’s dry again. Keep going over the sections with brush and blow dryer and if you’re pulling enough and you’ve sprayed in enough, it will work.

just know.. it works

I’ve been struggling all my life with the fight against humidity. if I straighten my hair and walk out, my hair would poof up immediately making it very hard to wear my natural hair. I have very thick , curly hair so it was always a challenge. Since I couldn’t find a solution I just opted to wearing weave all the time. I thought it was time to find a solution and was lead here by a beauty influencer. At first I got scared by the reviews that said that they had issues with the product making their hair break. I finally decided to get it since I had a trip to Miami where it is known for high humidity. I didn’t experience ANY issues with this product. the best part about this product is that it makes blow drying a much easier process for me. I never could blow dry my hair properly and this cut down the time in half, and straightened faster. With my trip to Miami, I was able to wear my natural hair for the entire week I was there without touch ups, and have it still look just as good from when I first straightened it.
