When I was younger I had naturally curly hair that fell into perfect spirals with no product and only air drying. If I was asked who permed me once, I was asked DOZENS of times.

Fast forward through ‘fashion trends’, hormonal changes from pregnancies, surgery, and just good ole life and my once perfectly amazing hair was…forked beyond imagination.

Literally

Once it was so damaged by a stylist I was granted a judgement against him and begged my new stylist to shave it all off and start again. She didn’t though it was cut down from mid back to short bob.

Bob and I survived despite the fact that he and I were not remotely a good match.

When Bob was on his way out my natural curl started to peek out a bit. More of a wave actually but there was promise.

When Bob was fully out of my life I wanted my curl back more than ever. No more wishing I had my sister’s straight hair for me! Give me back my spirals and watch out world!

NOTHING worked. All the tricks in my curly haired bag brought some semblance of…but all fell short.

I saw this product and did the back then typical ‘why not’ click developed over the last few years. Skip an Sbux and get it. Maybe one day one of these products will really work attitude that kept me trying to recreate the curls of yore. If it doesn’t work the line of people willing to take my cast off curl products will still be there when I get to the office in the morning.

The next morning I applied and hot dog! First the scent is lovely. Really, really nice. The consistency is thick but not at all heavy (remember baby fine hair here). The curls…WOW.

Completely free moving…nothing weighted down. No greasy feel. I can actually wake up in the morning with no Medusa hair scaring the fur babies!

Medusa hair is a real thing. Don’t judge.

Fine hair. Colored hair (I prefer denying my roots but whatever). Hormonal hair (post menopausal on estrogen patch).

This cream works. Shiny, soft curls.

Favorite Curl Cream

This is my new favorite product. I used to use the Not Your Mother’s Kinky Moves Curl Cream, and I was very pleased with that for years. I decided to try this because I heard it was a favorite. Love it!!

I love this stuff! It can be used alone (as pictured) and it will keep my curls soft and nice. If it’s humid out I still use a small amount of gel to finish it off to keep it from frizzing out but I think this is my favorite curl cream by far. LOVE this product!!

I simply love this product. I have used many products on my very curly hair in the past 39 years and NONE come close to making me as happy as this stuff!! It’s perfect for my now very short curly hair and I wish I had known of it when my locks were 23 inches longer! It leaves my hair soft to the touch, but very controlled. I have less frizz and no ‘crunchy’ curls either! And, the next morning I just spritz my hair with water and it’s like it’s reactivated. This size bottle has easily lasted me 6 months! It’s been years since I have styled my wavy hair instead of straightening it

Let me start off by saying I have long hair that has been being put through a straightener for past several years. I decided to try wavy / curly style again the other day. I attempted it with Not Your Mothers Sea salt beach waves (see picture where I’m in black shirt) I wasnt happy with outcome but didnt want to try products that give my hair a wet look even when its dry. So I found this stuff and gave it a try again and the difference is great. In both attempts I did the exact same method…washed my hair, lightly towel dried, put products in damp hair and used a diffuser to dry. This product is a little pricey but worth it! Beautiful Sexy Curls in a bottle!

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! This was not my first time using this product so I was already in love when I ordered but the size of this bottle was AWESOME! Both my daughters and I all have curly hair so having a larger bottle has definitely helped! This cream goes in wet hair after lightly towel drying. It does not take very much product and will leave your hair with soft, manageable curls that will resist the most humid of environments (we live in Florida so that should tell ya something)! The smell is amazing as well! If you like more of the crunchier curls, add a little more product however, it really isn’t needed! Soft Touchable Curls

I decided I was done with super short hair and grew it out to chin length. It was a good idea but then I remembered why I went short. I could not control my hair! I called my daughter and asked her what she uses to keep her hair looking so nice and she recommended this product. It is worth every penny of the purchase price. I use a little on towel dried hair and let my hair do what it wants. I get soft curls that are very attractive. I can go out on a windy day and my hair settles into attractively stylish messy curls. Works awesome

This is my first time using this cream, and holy cow I love it and will be re ordering this in the biggest size they have. The smell is light and fresh, and it doesn’t feel sticky. I almost always straighten my hair, but decided I really want to let my hair go natural during covid , so I am giving my locks a breather from all the heat products. This really defined my waves/curls and my hair feels so smooth and not crunchy. The absolute best in my opinion

I love love love this stuff. I have naturally wavy hair (skinny ringlets really) that tends to frizz up or brushes into poofiness. It is heavily processed – naturally dark reddish-brown, was dyed copper, now has been bleached and dyed very vivid teal. It is also fine-textured, important to know when using a heavy product like this. If my hair was both fine and thin it might be too thick, but it does not overwhelm my fine hair. I typically scrunch a microfiber towel in my hair a little, then scrunch this stuff in (using a pretty good amount of it but not half a bottle or anything) while my hair is still wet. I put a little root lifting spray on the roots and pin them up to dry for a bit of volume. Normally I air-dry but it does take much longer with this stuff on, so sometimes I blow-dry. The product is quite thick – it really does increase the drying time, but is completely worth it. I have used so many products, but this stuff protects my hair, keeps it from frizzing and keeps its shape – no limp curls, even the next day after it’s been in a ponytail overnight. And it smells amazing. I have chronic migraines and am very sensitive to scents but it does not bother me at all. And one of the things I love most is that it is not hard to brush your hair later – when I go to take a shower I’m not ripping through it trying to brush out the tangles because of the hair product. Love!

I bought this product after watching one of my favorite curly girl Youtubers, Mane Girl Mel, use it. I bought the small size, just in case it didn’t work for my hair type. But this product is AMAZING! Of course, it’s not a one and done product and you do need to pair it with other products, but you definitely notice the difference in your curls after it is dry. I used this product with the classic Denman brush to make sure all of my hair strands were actually getting some of this product in order to notice the proper effect. All in all I would definitely buy this product again, but next time in the full size. Note: Using a curl defining cream does result in shrinkage so be aware if you’re looking to have the luxury of super long curls. — Nudge reviewed

Perfect hair

I have fairly thick hair. It’s very healthy. I’m the person that does a deep mask once a week and has a great diet, so my hair is very well taken care of. Lately I have grown tired of blow drying my hair straight. I have a strange wave in my hair. I don’t like how it looks when it’s air dried, or maybe I’m just not used to it. Anyway, I wrapped my hair up in a hair turban dryer thingy, did my make-up and then pumped a pretty generous amount to my semi damp shoulder length hair. I flipped my hair over and proceeded to scrunch it up. I went about my day and received so many compliments! My hair looked great. All day. I did find that not just any shampoo will fully wash it out. What works best for me is Kenras cleansing shampoo daily (yes, I still believe in washing my hair daily) and every Sunday I use neutrogena’s cleansing shampoo ( be careful with this stuff for those of you that dye your hair). Wow!!! It’s Great!

I have always had naturally wavy/curly hair. After chemo, my hair was still wavy (not so much curly) in the back, but the sides tended to go straight – especially the second/third day after shampooing/conditioning. I followed instructions, massaging it through my hair before letting it air dry and Voila! – I have waves in the front again. Only thing that works for my hair

This was salon-owner-recommended to me in 2015, and I’ve used little else since. It’s the only product that works for my fairly thick, wavy-curly hair. I let my hair air dry about 75%, then work one pump of this through my hair with scrunching motions (if you put it on right after towel-drying–when it’s wetter–then your hair will end up a bit curlier). This leaves my hair with nice, loose, natural curls that stay looking good sometimes even into a second day. Also really cuts down on frizz, and leaves very little “crunch”–just enough to keep a nice natural shape. Amazing!

I have searched literally for years trying to find a product that would tame my frizz. I have wavy, dry hair. I put a pea size drop on my wet hands, rub my hands together, then put it on the exposed part of my hair (vs underneath). Dries nice, not sticky, stiff or slimy. Not too heavy. But I also use it very sparingly. I imagine if you use too much it’s going to be too much. Ended up giving it to my son to try, to control his mane, which is even more textured than mine. The only product he will actually use. He’s tried several but stopped using them quickly because he didn’t like the feel, result, or whatever. Grab it fast

First of this smell is so amazing it needs to be made into lotions, body sprays and self tanners. I have short hair above the shoulder length and I always have it in a bun or straightened. I’m always fighting the under hairs to straighten or stay pinned because they have a strong natural curl. I washed my hair per usual towel dried my hair used about a quarter size of product and started scrunching away, I made sure to get it all the alway to the roots. I then went to bed with semi wet hair. I was so shocked by all the soft ringlets of hair I woke up too. I will be buying this product off the shelf. You dont need a lot of product to get great results

This product changed my hair care routine. When first using it, I used too much on my long but fine curly hair. Now, on the days I shampoo, I use about 1/2 squeeze of the pump, hang my head so hair is upside down and with both hands, coat hair from both sides.
The scent is AMAZING!!!! I am currently looking to see if this brand makes a shampoo. I get compliments all the time on how good I smell-it reminds me of a white musk scent. Very light fresh and feminine. The thing I really like about this product is the curl definition. Curls are defined and will stay that way if you dont run your fingers through your hair throughout the day-but hair is soft and shiny, not crunchy or crisp. Fantastic product!

Thanks to the pandemic, I had to let the pixie haircut (that I’ve had for 20+ years) grow out. Much to my surprise, it was very curly! I read tons of reviews and settled on this product. I absolutely love it. My hair looks great and the smell is so wonderful! People have asked me what scent I’m wearing. Been using this for about 2 years. I have fine curly hair but long in length and this product lasts me about 4-5 weeks if I use it daily. It is the ONLY product that dries and doesn’t look crunchy. And the SMELL???? is amazing. It is cheaper here then at Sephora so that’s also a plus and always arrives within 3-4 days of ordering. Best Curl Cream — No frizz!

This is truly an amazing high-end product. It was originally recommended by a high-end salon that sold it when I went to get a haircut. It allows you to define the curl while moisturizing so you still have a soft but manageable look. Your girls do not feel crunchy and they also do not feel dry. Smells Amazing

My best friend recommended this curl cream for me to try. I normally use other products, but for the past 2 weeks I have just used this one (and heat protection spray). Fantastic! Even in the desert ????!!!

This product is WONDERFUL! In my opinion, the only drawback is it’s expensive. BUT, the smell, the creaminess of it are WONDERFUL! I would recommend. Makes me happy just smelling it and using it. Use it in combination with a regular gel that you like to help define and defrizz the curls

I have very curly hair and this product is meant to enhance the curls. I was first introduced to this when my hairdresser used it in combination with a Matrix Biology product. The Matrix product can be found in stores, but not the Moroccanoil. Use it in combination with a regular gel that you like to help define and defrizz the curls! I tried using just the other gel when I ran out, but I can see and feel a difference. Put some of each on your hand and rub your palms together to mix and then apply through your hair, . When your hair dries, It feels softer and looks shinier and less frizzy. I like to air dry but it works fine if you use a diffuser when blow drying. The price is about the same or a bit less than the price to purchase at the hair salon. Love this product!

This is my favorite hair product and I needed the small size for travel. I have curly/wavy but thin hair and this makes it look better than any other product- not crunchy, not frizzy. Perfect frizz free bounce curl

At first I was unsure, about how well this would actually curl my hair. (I have a natural curl but it’s Frzzy and flat) but i needed some cream(ran out of last product , Aveda and wanted a change) wow! This did is amazing! Worth the money for the tiny bottle. I just put some cream in after a shower, (part hair into 2 sections, then bounce scrunch the hair) the curls are already instantly beautiful) Then braid hair for overnight. The next morning, my hair is more defined curls, bouncy, thick, or poofy (just the right amount) and no frizz! It’s shiny and Beautiful! Not even my hair diffuser could do that. Curls, curls, curls!

I use this product all the time to style my hair. It smells nice, it works well as a curling product. My only issue is that I usually need to add some mouse to get think curls. I have thick hair and naturally curly, but without product VERY frizzy. I usually need a lot of product to make those thick bouncy curls, so depending on your hair, this might be for you. — mab reviewed

Best product for curly hair

I have curly, frizzy and unpredictable hair, and over the years, I’ve tried many different products. After reading a bunch of reviews about this stuff, I decided to give it a go.. and I’m glad I did! It leaves curls defined, springy and soft. It also smells great. I put my wet hair in a microfiber hair towel out of the shower for anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes to soak up excess water. Amazing!

This cream smells amazing! I bought this after seeing a woman say she used this in her daughter’s curly hair in a Facebook page. My daughter is mixed and I’ve been looking for a good product to use in her hair (which was similar to the daughter’s hair in the Facebook post I saw).
