  • Crazy easy to appy!

Eyeliner so easy to apply that the blind can use it! I’m legally blind and do my make-up by feel. Eyeliner is the hardest to do so I’ve gone without for years. Decided to give this one a shot based on the reviews and was not disapointed. Came out great and was so easy to apply! So happy to be wearing eyeliner again! And yes I know some don’t realize that the blind wear make-up or have trouble believing it would look good so heres a pic of my first try with this eyeliner. — Lowe Family reviewed

  • Sharp and dark!

I literally just received this eye liner in the mail, tried it on, and had to write a review! Awesome product, buy it now. Very dark, very easy to put on (nice sharp point) and I’m a very happy customer. I have not, however, spent a day with this on my lids to see how it holds up, or tried to get it off( I usually wash with the oil cleansing method so I don’t anticipate any trouble getting the liner off) so I will have to get back to you on those situations….but if you want a precise, clean, dark and fabulous cat eye, this is the liner for you.
    UPDATE:
Ok, after a one hour long Body Combat class in the middle of summer in a crowded room with hardly any air-conditioning I was VERY curious to see how this eyeliner would hold up. At the end of the class I checked it out and there was NO smudging or flaking. That is seriously impressive! (see picture) — Biosum reviewed

  • Great product- lightweight and easy to apply. Worth every dollar. Especially great for oily skin.

I’m picky– I want a liquid gray liner with no shimmer, just like "Alloy". That’s harder to find than you’d think! I’ve probably tried them all, or at least all of them under $30.

This doesn’t stay on all day, but it is pretty darn close. I usually need to touch up only once in the workday, then again if I’m going out after. However, I have really oily skin and oily lids, and I’ve never found a product that stays on any better than this unless it’s an intense formula that hurts my skin. If you have oily skin, this is a good product for you.

COST: if you aren’t sure about spending over $20 for a liner, trust me that this one is worth it. It never dries out and it lasts for months. I even accidentally left the cap off mine for a whole day, so I recapped it and stored it upside down, and it completely recovered.

COLOR: I love "Alloy," which is a true gray, not a dark charcoal gray. It looks great with my blue eyes during the day, and it’s still dark enough to carry over into evening.

FEEL: In addition to holding on really well (as mentioned above), it dries quickly and feels like nothing, super light weight. It’s easy to touch up with a q-tip for about 30 seconds after applying. — Taylor Ross reviewed

  • Best Eyeliner on the market – worth a more expensive price

This is my 4th Stila eye liner. For me this is the best. The brush is nicely shaped and has just the amount of liner needed (be sure to shake pen before use). The length of the pen gives good control. Dark brown is a great color – defining but not too dark. I like that I can smudge the line with a little dark brown eye shadow. The price is a higher than I usually spend for a cosmetic I use every day, but after trying several eye liners – some more expensive and some cheaper – I find that this works well for me and also lasts a long time. — A B reviewed

  • Stays put until you don’t want it to

I am a Kat Von D. Tatoo Liner die-hard. This stuff is a close second. I feel like the formula doesn’t apply as fluidly as KVD’s but it definitely doesn’t pull at the eyelid like others have. It’s obviously also helpful if you store this upside down, that way the formula is all at the top ready for you to use.

When it comes to staying power I have to say that this may actually win over KVD.I applied this at 9AM, went to work as a cocktail waitress, then went and had a very active evening afterwards. I ended up being bad and slept in my makeup and woke up to this stuff still in place. One of my wings was a little worn but I was pretty shocked that I could have walked out the door and had no one know that it was eyeliner from over 24 hours prior.

Usually products like this can be very difficult to remove but I found that it wasn’t too much of a problem. I just used my Philosophy face cleanser like usual and it came off as normal.

So, day-to-day I’ll be sticking to my KVD but when I know I won’t have time to reapply and will be pretty active I’m going to reach for this stuff. — G. R. Pearson reviewed

  • Hate that Stila stopped selling this color in stores!

Of course since I love this color eyeliner, they stopped selling it. I stopped seeing it in stores/on Stila’s website in the summer of 2018, so for those who are concerned how old this product is- keep that in mind when purchasing.

This color is a true emerald/olive green. It is difficult to find this color in pen/liquid form. The tip is also great. In some cases, the tips of other brands dry out on the very tip and I have to cut them, which makes the tip fatter since I cut off the skinnier part.

Highly recommend this color! — Becca M. reviewed

  • Best water proof eyeliner EVER

This is the best eyeliner I have yet to try. I went to a water park and I spent the whole day there. I got to the hotel and looked at my eyeliner and it was intact. It didn’t even fade a lil bit. Haven’t used any other eyeliner since then. It also has the perfect siZe brush. Love it — Amazon Customer reviewed

  • Blackest, Longest Lasting, Most Precise Eyeliner

Love this product. It is so easy to apply and lasts SOOO LONG. Seriously, this eyeliner lasts literally an entire 2 days if you don’t take it off at night. It is also super black which I love. I used to use the master precise eyeliner by Maybelline (shown in pictures) and loved it when I first bought it, but it wasn’t long until it started getting watered down and hard to apply. I have had the stila eyeliner for a while now (hence the logo being rubbed off in my pictures) and it has not gotten watered down whatsoever. The reason I think for this is because the Master precise does not seem to have a ball inside while the Stila one does, so when shaken the Stila eyeliner does a better job of blending than the Maybelline.

The only problem that I JUST started having with this product is the tip is starting to get a bit dried out and has some fuzz that I keep having to remove. Because of this, I have to press harder to get a precise line and I am not able to use it for the wing anymore (I now go in with potted eyeliner and a liner brush for the wing) but it still works great for the inner portion. — Olivia reviewed

  • Stila is the absolute best liquid eyeliner I have ever tried

Stila is the absolute best liquid eyeliner I have ever tried. It doesn’t fade, or crack and stays on through sleeping, or tears. Very very smudge proof and it does not flake AT ALL. It dries quickly and even though it is waterproof (as long as you don’t touch it excessively) it stays. It’s also easy to clean off at the end of the day. No hard scrubbing to get it off, makeup wipes will take it off easily. It’s amazing for creating perfect wings, or drawing artfully for Halloween. It’s perfect for everyday from subtle looks, to more creative and wild. I usually use black eyeliner, so I decided to get a more expensive, higher end brand, popular eyeliner. I most was not disappointed. I can use this eyeliner for months at a time (at least doing wings every day or so) without having to repurchase because it has dried out or was empty. Just shake before using each time, and it should last for several months, (2-5) depending on the usage daily and if it is stored/used properly. — Jenny Journals reviewed

  • Perfect, never buy any other eyeliner

After using stila I will never use another eyeliner. It is PERFECT! Application is always flawless, DARK BLACK (one layer is always enough) and it lasts me about a month with daily use. It’s thin enough that I can make a precise wing with no trouble. It literally stays on all day, no smudging or fading.

I even use it on my little girls face sometimes like for Halloween (drawing pretty designs and whatnot) and it will stay on all day even though a whole day of daycare including naps, the teachers are always like “omg what did you use for her face?? It never even smudged” — Klhw21 reviewed

  • … used to use Physician’s Formula Liquid Liner because I liked the felt tip

I used to use Physician’s Formula Liquid Liner because I liked the felt tip, it didn’t cause irritation and the color stayed mostly throughout the day without smudging. When I found Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner and decided to give it a try, I cannot say how much I love this product and recommend it! The felt tip is easy to glide on my upper lash line. The black is dark enough on my eyes and this product lasts ALL DAY without smudging…even going swimming it stays on. This is the third time I’ve purchased this product. It generally last about six months applying it daily on my upper lash line. I once saw a video that showed a demonstration of how much liquid is in the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. Basically, if you used it as a marker, you can color three and a half sheets of an approximate 8"x4" sheet to give you an indication of how much ink and how long it may last you. — Klhw21 reviewed

  • Truly long lasting and waterproof

Stays on until the next day. It stays on working close to open shifts. I’ve worked a closing shift late at night, taken a 3 hour nap, showered, then touched up the wing to work my opening shift the next morning at work. I tested this on my hand and the swatch didn’t come off for 3 days even washing with soap and water. It lasts through my sweaty dance performances as well without smearing or cracking. I’ve worn it in the hot tub and it stayed on with the steam. I’ve worn it to shower with the bae. As long as you don’t wipe it with a wet cloth it stays on.

My main complaint is how difficult it is to remove and how harsh it feels bc of the felt tip, but that is to be expected for how well it stays on. I also prefer a less glossy liner.

EDIT: I much prefer the Kat Von D ink it brush tip liquid liner because the applicator and formula is less harsh, less glossy. But this is my second favorite. — MarLo reviewed

  • So far my favorite eyeliner

I am pretty low maintenance and minimal with my makeup, but I have found this Stila ‘liquid’ eyeliner to be the best I’ve used and come across so far. I believe I first used it from getting it in a subscription makeup box (like Birchbox), but always hesitated to spend *that* much on a brand new eyeliner for myself. I recently bought a couple similar eyeliners from a drugstore, but they were just rubbish compared to the Stila, which has not yet let me down. It’s not liquid in the sense that you are painting it on with a literal brush (I haven’t been super skilled with that type in the past), but this is more of a marker-like tip. It goes on suitably solid and dark, and is easy to apply. It comes off easily with my standard makeup remover, but also lasts throughout my day. I’ve only gotten it in black because it is so reliable, but I have my eye on the emerald or teal colors. — Iris reviewed

  • I scoured reviews and STILA seemed to have the best results within a price point I felt comfortable with

Very fast shipping from this seller. About the product – my eyeliner constantly ran and bled. Embarrassing. I actually started using waterproof mascara as liner by smudging it with a Qtip. Then I found waterproof liner. Duh! I scoured reviews and STILA seemed to have the best results within a price point I felt comfortable with. I use the dark brown. My hair is light blonde so black is too "heavy metal" looking for me. It took time to learn how to get a soft, blended look because it applies in a sharp fine line but it blends beautifully if you choose to wear it that way. Stila waterproof liquid liner stays put under normal circumstances. I would not condemn the product if I cry it off like some reviewers on other sites had. To me, thats not normal wear. I have teared a small amount and it held up for me. Make sure you dont use eye cream under it because I did one day and it made it slide off so im careful that my eye cream isnt along the rim. I recommend the product highly. I wish it lasted a little longer (more product) but its easy to order from various sources. Im so glad that I found this great product. No more frustrating runny eyeliner. — Mallory B reviewed

  • Intense Black Liner That Lasts

I like wearing natural looking makeup but I’m not an expert at applying. I don’t like looking like I’m wearing a bunch of makeup. For years, I stayed away from liquid liners for two main reasons… 1. because I worry about it looking harsh and made up and 2. it’s hard to Apply.

I have oily skin and one of my eyes waters due to a dry eye condition so I’ve searched and searched for a liner that has longevity Without smudging and this liner kept getting recommended. I took a risk and so glad I did. I bought the intense black. It goes on easily and didn’t look stark or harsh. It also lasts all day! I didn’t get home to black undereyes!! I’m so happy with it! — Tami reviewed

  • Eyeliner perfection

Still my favorite. Hands down the best. Last all day. I have allergies like crazy with watery eyes an all. This the ONE that works. I’ve tried Kat VonD and others but always return to Stila. My tip is to line with Stila, then go over with high-pigment shadow for color. It’s perfect.
A few other tips… if you think it’s dry when you first open it, it’s a bad one. Return it for fresh. I’ve had this happen purchasing both online and in stores. I think sometimes caps don’t seal properly. Annnd…speaking of caps, always, always, always, make sure the cap clicks shut or it will dry out. Black lasts by far the longest but brown is a close second. If you go over black with the powder shadow it shows that color so I find it to be very versatile. — ReviewMistress reviewed

  • The best eyeliner out there!

This is hands down the best eyeliner product I’ve ever used. I’ve been using this product for about 4 or 5 years and it never ceases to amaze me loyal it is to it’s name. It truly stays all day! It stays put, no matter what. I have gone through times where I had an emotional breakdown with this stuff on and it didn’t budge despite the constant tears. I also sweat a bunch, and when I wear it to work it looks the exact same when I leave work as when I put it on. It’s really easy to learn to use, as it’s almost like using a paintbrush on your face. You don’t have to press down hard, which allows you to create really dramatic wings and sharp lines. It comes off relatively easy at the end of the day. I use makeup wipes and it comes right off. I recommend this product to everyone who asks me what eyeliner I use or recommend. The price is absolutely worth it, this eyeliner is a total winner in my book. Nothing else compares! — 45thParallel reviewed

  • the ease of application and the saturation of black is far better than any drugstore brand I’ve tried

This is my go-to eyeliner! While a bit more expensive than drugstore brands, the ease of application and the saturation of black is far better than any drugstore brand I’ve tried. I work 11 hour days, mostly on my feet indoors and outdoors, and after about six hours of wearing it starts to sort of fade out, but again this is far beyond how long drugstore brands typically last. It’s kind of weird and maybe it’s my dumb hands but for some reason when I do a winged eye, it handles the slant better on my left eye than my right. On the right eye it gets a little wonky and hard to apply as if the tip isn’t saturated, but I’m not going to knock stars off for that because it really could just be my weird useless phalanges.

Great eyeliner, planning on using it until it gets discontinued (at which point I’ll organize the riots, meet me at my place around 7 PM) — Naomi K. reviewed

  • I LOVE this eyeliner!

I have been wearing eyeliner almost every day for about 8 years now. I had always bought the pencil type and it looked okay, but I wanted to try something new. So I bought this. OMG. it’s seriously the best eyeliner I’ve ever used. It is super easy to create beautiful lines in any shape or thickness. Wings are a breeze. I’m so happy I bought this.
I use Urban Decay eye shadow primer, then this eyeliner, then eyeshadow, then another layer of eyeliner on top. Works well for me, and never smudges. 🙂

    HOWEVER.
I bought a backup eyeliner about a week after ordering the first one. I can’t remember how long the first one lasted (sorry!), but when I got to the new one, it seemed weird. Instead of a soft, bendable tip, it had a sharp hard one. I thoughtht maybe I was just used to the old one and it had worn out or something. But then i noticed that the new one had silver text instead of gold, and the words were all in lowercase instead of each word being capitalized. No big deal, until I realized that it was also rubbing off after only an hour or so. The first one lasted all day!
    I just didn’t understand.
    So… I bought another one.
The third one was exactly the same as the first. Smooth ink, stays all day, soft tip, gold text, etc.

So I guess just hope that you get the gold texted one because it’s the better version. — Shandie reviewed

  • Always a valued product.

Bought this during a Black Friday/cyber Monday deal at almost half the price.

If you know anything about this product then you know it’s probably the best of the best. If not top 3 liquid eyeliners you can purchase. It can be pricey at times, but it happens a nice felt sharp tip that makes application easier (I’m a make up application amateur) and stays all day if you’re not into touching up your make up. — Practical Purchaser reviewed

  • The only eyeliner I buy, worth the money

I’ve tried different options but at this point, Stila’s All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner is the only one for me. It’s easy to apply and doesn’t rub off in my crease during application or after wear. It has rich black color and coverage. The fine marker tip give you control to apply both natural and heavier applications. It’s great for daily wear.

Regarding it’s waterproof features: It stays in place but doesn’t hold up as well during swimming conditions if you’re submerging your face repeatedly. Not terrible, but not great. For my Halloween costume, I used it for my eyeliner, whiskers and lip liner/blended with lipstick. It stayed in place all night.

To remove it, you have to use a make up wipe or remover or gentle soap. It’s a great balance of stays on well but isn’t like scrubbing permanent marker off your skin when the night is over. — Practical Purchaser reviewed

  • My Go-to Liquid Liner

I love this liner. I went through several brands from drug store to prestige before finally finding Stila’s liquid liner. The price seems steep at $20, but I can get about 3 months of use out of a single pen, and I wear the brown daily with few exceptions. The tip is very fine, allowing me to control how thick the line is. Although the tip is a bit flexible, it also has enough stiffness to draw solid, sharp lines. I have never had problems with this liner fading or rubbing off. NEVER! I have also not had any problems with the ink bleeding into fine lines. It stays right where I put it. Personally, I use an eye primer, then apply eyeshadow, and then line my eyes before the mascara goes on. Again, for liquid liner, Stila is my go-to. I primarily use it in Dark Brown, but also use it in Intense Black (which is a true dark black), Moss (I love this because it is between dark brown and black in terms of intensity), and Midnight. All are beautiful and are of the same good quality. — Jessica Nieuwenhuizen reviewed

  • Perfect liner.

I have brown eyes and dark hair. First I ordered the Intense Black but it’s very stark… even though I’m Asian. I wanted something it bit more subtle but still stand out. I was hesitate on getting the brown color fearing it might be too light. However, it’s perfect. It’s still dark enough to stand out but is not stark at all. The first layer might appear light if you do it very lightly. But I also apply a second layer and it makes it darker and almost black, but NOT stark black. The brown is perfect for those who want a more subtle look during the day.

It stays on ALL DAY without smudging or making my eyes red. Easy to clean off with makeup wipes. — Bean reviewed

  • Lasts and lasts

LOVE THIS!!!! I have been using a revlon crayon for over a decade and when I started working outside in the rain and sun it was failing me… I went into a Sephora last spring and my cat eye eyeliner game changed! I was put off by the liquid thinking that with sharp lines I’d have to be perfect = super intimidating but nope! I am able to use the fine tip of the marker on its side to establish my wing top. I just press it on and then draw my downward line and fill in. If I were to time it I would say it takes me less than a minute. **TIP** do make sure that you allow to dry it won’t take that long probably 30seconds. It withstands PNW rain and triple digit heat. 1 stick lasts about 3 months of every day use. — akya reviewed

  • The only liquid liner I use anymore

While it is possible to rub this stuff off, it isn’t likely. Even when I’m applying it over eyeshadow, it doesn’t slide off the top layer of shadow powder, it stays put! I tend to leave the washcloth on my eye to soak a bit so I can get it off at the end of the night, instead of scrubbing my delicate skin. If you’re a bum like me on some days, and sleep in your eye makeup, it will run in the shower the next day, but really, what do you expect after 16 hours? This stuff is great. My only tiny gripe is that the brown shade is very dark and nearly black. The black shade is even better than Kat VonD’s tattoo liner. — 253Libby reviewed

  • Holy grail liquid eyeliner!!

I have never been someone to wear liquid eyeliner regularly. I normally don’t wear eyeliner at all and if I do it’s a pencil liner. This stila liner is PERFECT for first time liquid liner users and is very easy to master and maneuver on the eyelid and get a straight line. I have this liner in black and brown but since I have light blue eyes I prefer the brown as I think it’s less harsh. I got this liner for $15 on prime day and am in love with it. It’s definitely waterproof and smudge proof and is the liner you want for a special event. It survived a sweaty and humid Texas wedding where I cried a lot so it’s a winner for me! — A. C. reviewed

  • Warning: At 73 cents a day, probably the most expensive eyeliner you can buy. But it is great.

Funnily enough, of all the make-up products you use in your life-time, this may turn out to be the most expensive. Just for yucks I decided to crunch the numbers. At $22 per applicator that lasts for roughly a month with daily application once a day, it comes out to 73 cents a day. Yeah, I have some crazy expensive Korean stuff and other impulse buys that seem downright cheap compared to this daily cost per day. But this eyeliner works great. And I feel embarrassed that I spend this much on eyeliner. I’ll use this until I find something less extravagant to replace it. — alewis1227 reviewed

  • Stila is hands down still the best waterproof black eyeliner on the market

After trying many other cheaper alternatives including Dolly Wink and Kill Black, Stila is hands down still the best waterproof black eyeliner on the market. I can take a profusely sweat on a hot and humid day and it will not smudge. Obviously if you’ve wet it and then touched your eye it will smudge but other than that, it really does stay on. I draw on a cat eye line daily once a day and 1 pen will last me about 3 months. When it starts to feel a bit try I just wet it under the running water and recap it. — Owen's Mom reviewed

  • Works on my oily eyelids!

For some context, I detest paying lots of money for makeup products, but there are some products that if I don’t invest the money in the first place, it’s like I can’t use it at all anyway. Eyeliner is one of those things. I have a normal-oily skin type, but my eyelids are always greasy because of the high heat, high humidity workplace I’m in. Drugstore brands always crease in a matter of an hour, maybe less if it’s a bad day. I put this on without a primer and sure enough, and a noticeable amount stayed clear through to the next morning some 18 hours later (because I was lazy and forgot to actually clean my face off). I then did try it with an eyeshadow primer and it was even cleaner.

It does come out a little more saturated with ink than some brands I’ve used. Exercise caution in your first application to avoid Panda syndrome — Elizabeth reviewed
